Reed Studios, Inc. was formed in 1985 when, after leaving her job at a local printer, Lori
realized that she had a defacto business due to the printer's customers contacting her for
design work. Sort of an accidental business!
Her venture moved along through the '80s and into the '90s growing steadily. Lori frequently
would urge Rob to quit his corporate art director's job and come to work at Reed Studios, and in 1996
he did just that. The business was incorporated at that point. They were a bit apprehensive about working
together, not wanting to mess up a great relationship. Some timely advice from a work associate
to specialize in different areas has resulted in over a decade of tranquility in the workplace.
Both Lori and Rob's fine art studios and the design studio they share are all located in their home, so
the commute to work is easy! In addition, the place is home to five (yep, 5), shelties who keep the
studio and office mood on the light side!
